You can configure your Security Gateway to automatically upgrade Remote Access VPN clients the next time that they connect. When this occurs, the Security Gateway downloads the applicable package to the client. Endpoint users must have administrator permissions to install an upgrade.

To set up a gateway to automatically install client upgrades:
Download Endpoint Security VPN for MacE82.50 Signature for Automatic Upgrade.
Rename the
Endpoint_Security_VPN.pkg,Endpoint_Security_VPN.pkg.signatureandver.inifiles toTRAC.pkg,TRAC.pkg.signatureandtrac_ver_osx.txtrespectively.Upload these files to this directory on the gateway:
$FWDIR/conf/extender/CSHELLFor version R71.x only, copy the
TRAC.pkgandTRAC.pkg.signaturefiles also to:$CVPNDIR/htdocs/SNX/CSHELL.
On a non-Windows gateway, run:
chmod 750 TRAC.pkgchmod 750 TRAC.pkg.signaturechmod 750 trac_ver_osx.txt
In SmartDashboard, go to Policy> Global Properties > Remote Access > Endpoint Connect.
Select one of these Client upgrade mode options:
Do not upgrade- This option disables automatic upgrades from the gateway. Automatic upgrades are not available for endpoint users.
Ask user - The user receives a prompt and can install immediately or at a later time.
If the user does not install the upgrade immediately, the prompt will show again in one week.
Always upgrade - The new package installs silently without user intervention. The user receives a notification once the upgrade completes successfully.
Install the policy.

- Support for the Endpoint Security Clients on macOS Big Sur (11).
- Machine Authentication for the VPN client. It allows to perform VPN authentication with a machine certificate from the system keychain of the macOS. Machine Authentication works in user and machine authentication mode, which is a combination of a machine certificate and the selected user authentication method.
- Post-connect message for the VPN client. It allows to display a message to the end user upon every VPN connection. Now available for Windows clients as well. See sk75221 for configuration details.
- The E84.30 release introduces a self-protection feature which prevents the deletion of Check Point files and the termination of Check Point processes by end-users. In this release, the self-protection feature is intended for specific customers only. If you wish to use the feature, contact Check Point Support.
